In this Stellaluna book unit, you will receive science, literacy and writing activities appropriate for 1st and 2nd grade, ESL and special education students.

You will receive guided reading task cards, vocabulary cards, definition cards for a matching game, reading comprehension worksheets, and a parts of a story graphic organizer.

For your science center, students learn parts of a fruit bat and bat and bird facts. Students will create an onomatopoeia little book and story map. Students will also learn about echolocation.

This book unit also has writing center activities for bats poetry and rhyming words, exclamation point, and writing a letter to Stellaluna. A letter writing rubric assessment is included. Your students will enjoy telling a bat story and completing a bat craft activity.
